Possessed Shaky BallThe Self-Moving Shaky Ball
“We gave the dog a ball that appears to have unfinished business.”
Chaos, rechargeable
The short version
What happened when we tried it
The first bounce caused a retreat. The second started a forty-minute investigation. It rolls, vibrates and changes direction without warning. The dog filed no formal complaint. This is not essential equipment, and we refuse to pretend otherwise. But as dog purchases go, it produced a useful mix of entertainment, curiosity and genuine canine interest.
Best for
Curious dogs who think normal tennis balls are beneath them.
The evidence
Good dog. Questionable purchase.
We judge products on what they do in a normal home—not what the box promises in a studio. That means watching setup time, cleanup, durability, the dog's first reaction and whether anyone still wants the thing around a week later.
The good
- Excellent reaction footage
- Rechargeable
- Keeps moving on its own
The nonsense
- Can be noisy
- May intimidate timid dogs
- Hard floors amplify the drama
