Privacy policy.
The short version: we collect almost nothing, we sell nothing, and the dog cannot read your email anyway. Effective August 23, 2026.
What we collect
If you join the newsletter, we store the email address you give us and use it only to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us. Like most websites, our servers also keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and requested pages) for security and debugging.
What we do not do
We do not run analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or session recording, and we do not sell or rent personal information. If we ever add an analytics service, this policy will be updated to name it before it goes live.
Affiliate links & third parties
Product links can take you to retailers such as Amazon. When you click one, that retailer may set cookies on its own site to attribute the visit, and its privacy policy — not ours — governs what happens there. See our affiliate disclosure for how those links work.
Your choices & rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including your newsletter email — by writing to hello@thedogneedsthis.com. We honor applicable state privacy rights and will never treat you differently for exercising them.
Children
The site is a general-audience publication and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
