The short version

What happened when we tried it

Pickles and Bear boarded. Neither offered to help with navigation. A claw-friendly floating hammock that gives your dog a suspiciously premium poolside lifestyle. This is not essential equipment, and we refuse to pretend otherwise. But as dog purchases go, it produced a useful mix of entertainment, curiosity and genuine canine interest.

Best for

Pool days, reluctant swimmers and dogs who prefer leisure to cardio.

The evidence

Good dog. Questionable purchase.

We judge products on what they do in a normal home—not what the box promises in a studio. That means watching setup time, cleanup, durability, the dog's first reaction and whether anyone still wants the thing around a week later.

The good

  • Made for dog claws
  • Excellent summer footage
  • Folds down for storage

The nonsense

  • Requires constant supervision
  • Not a life-saving device
  • Some dogs refuse to board
