What happened when we tried it
The vests helped Pickles and Bear on a shaded walk. We still kept it short and carried water. A soak-and-wear vest that uses evaporative cooling to add a little relief on warm, dry days. This is not essential equipment, and we refuse to pretend otherwise. But as dog purchases go, it produced a useful mix of entertainment, curiosity and genuine canine interest.

Supervised summer outings, dry climates and heat-sensitive dogs.
The evidence
Good dog. Questionable purchase.
We judge products on what they do in a normal home—not what the box promises in a studio. That means watching setup time, cleanup, durability, the dog's first reaction and whether anyone still wants the thing around a week later.
